More mixed end of the week and weekend
Dry weather through the early and middle part of this week. Things turning more mixed later in the week and into the weekend. It is likely to be staying mild through much of the week, although briefly cooler at the weekend. Next week brings some showers, most in the north and west.

Thursday 23/5/19 Pressure lowers over the UK and Ireland on Thursday. Fronts bring ome cloud and patchy outbreaks of rain into southern Ireland and southwest England. Increased cloud across many northern areas leading to some spots of rain too. Drier and brighter weather in eastern England, the best sunshine to the southeast. Tops near 22C in the southeast, 15 to 17C for most.
Friday 24/5/19 An area of low pressure passes eastwards on Friday bringing cloud and rain. A few heavy bursts of rain in the far south of England. Brighter drier weather follows to the north and west. Highs at 14 to 21C.
Saturday 25/5/19 A northwest flow on Saturday. This brings the threat of some showers in East Anglia and southeast England. Drier and brighter to the north and west with good spells of sunshine. Tops near a cool 11C in norther Scotland, 21C in southern England.
Sunday 26/5/19 Low pressure over the UK on Sunday. This brings cloud and some outbreaks of rain as fronts pass east. Most of the rain will be light and patchy. Temperatures at a cool 10C in northern Scotland, 20C in southern England.
Monday 27/5/19 Low pressure may stay close to northern Scotland on Monday. This is likely to be bringing another mixed day. There will be cloud and showers, most to the north and west, with the best of any brightness to the south and east. Highs at 11 to 18C.
Tuesday 28/5/19 A ridge of high pressure brings fair weather to southern Ireland and the southwest UK. There could be showers to the north and east, but sunny spells too. Most of any showers in the north and east. Tops at 12 to 21C.
