A warm spell expected next week

A less wet and generally more settled weekend as a brief ridge develops leading to cooler temperatures through the day and overnight for some. Next week becomes mixed again but also very warm for southern and eastern areas, cooler and less wet perhaps further north.

Sunday 11/9/22
An Atlantic area of low pressure sits to the west of the UK on Sunday. A mild to warm day is expected for many. Mostly dry though cloud and rain will push in across Ireland, Northern Ireland and push into western Scotland. Highs at 24C across central southern England, 19 to 20C further north.
 

Monday 12/9/22
Rain overnight continues to affect much of Scotland on Monday which will make it feel cool here, though the rain does ease from the west. Largely dry elsewhere with sunny spells and feeling warm. Highs in northern Scotland at 16C, 19 to 26C elsewhere.

Tuesday 13/9/22
A cool start for parts of Scotland on Tuesday with a mostly dry and fine day in prospect here. Outbreaks of rain across central and southern Engand into parts of Wales, but dry and fine elsewhere. Highs at 20 to 27C though cooler in the north and north east.

Wednesday 14/9/22
A largely dry day is expected though developing showers are to be expected for some through England, Wales and Ireland. Another warm day for many with highs at 20 to 27C, though cooler again across northern Scotland.

Thursday 15/9/22
A mixed day with sunny spells but also scattered showers about, some of these could be heavy. Less warm than previous days though eastern areas still feeling warmer than average. Highs at 15 to 25C.

Friday 16/9/22
Mostly dry weather expected on Friday though not everywhere will be without the risk of a shower. Highs at a cool 15 to 18C across Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland, elsewhere 19 to 23C.
