Becoming drier and cooler through the week
Southern England warm and unsettled weather at the start of the week, before high pressure becomes more dominant and settles down the weather for most while bringing a cooler northerly wind. Some showers towards the north and east, otherwise dry with plenty of sunshine.

Tuesday 13/9/22 Rain affecting the far south of England on Tuesday with possible drizzly rain affecting the far north of Scotland. Other areas are likely to be bright and dry with sunny spells for many after a chilly start. Highs at 22C in the south, 15C in northern Scotland.
Wednesday 14/9/22 High pressure stays to the west on Wednesday with low pressure to the east. Outbreaks of rain continue to pester the far south of England, mostly the southeast. Scattered showers being pushed on to the Highlands and islands of Scotland by a north-westerly wind. A cooler day for all. Highs at 23C in the south, 15C in the north.
Thursday 15/9/22 A persistent northerly wind flow down the country on Thursday making it feel again cooler. Showery rain affecting northern Scotland, otherwise a dry and sunny day for most. Temperatures at 16 to 22C.
Friday 16/9/22 Less windy on Friday as the high pressure centre moves more over the British Isles. A mostly dry day though cloud and light showers affect some northern and eastern coasts. Cool at 14 to 20C.
Saturday 17/9/22 Another cool though largely dry and bright day, however, showers will affect northern Scotland. Tops at 14 to 19C.
Sunday 18/9/22 High pressure centres itself over the country on Sunday. Mist and fog patches to start for many then a dry and fine day with developing sunny spells. Tops at 14 to 19C.
