Unsettled yet mild. Next weekend is more settled though cooler.

Low pressure sits to the west southwest of Ireland this weekend and into next week which will sweep heavy and perisstent rainfall across the country, strengthened winds at times with the risk of thunderstorms. Feeling resonably warm and muggy too. A more settled outlook for the following weekend and cooler.

Tuesday 6/9/22
Tuesday continues to be unsettled with lower pressure still circulating to the west southwest of Ireland. Sunny spells and showery rain through the morning, then heavier, more persistent rain expected to move in to southwestern areas and across many regions of Scotland later. Staying largely dry across central and southeast England where it will feel warm. Highs at 19 to 25C though cooler across some western areas.

Wednesday 7/9/22
Staying unsettled through midweek with outbreaks of heavy rain, perhaps thundery, pushing up the country again. A breezy day for most and windy towards SW England and Wales. Highs at 18 to 24C.

Thursday 8/9/22
Low pressure starts to slide eastwards and circulate directly over England on Thursday. Showers as well as longer spells of rain are expected, some heavy and possibly thundery, with also sunny spells developing at times. Highs at a somewhat cooler 16 to 22C.

Friday 9/9/22
Low pressure moves out over the North Sea at the end of the week. Ireland, Northern Ireland and many parts of Scotland will gradually become drier and brighter while breezy, with England and parts of Wales still experiencing outbreaks of rain, again possibly thundery in places. Highs at 17 to 21C.

Saturday 10/9/22
Saturday sees a chilly start in the north and west and it will be a drier and brighter day for many as a ridge develops. Highs at a fresher 15 or 18C in the north, 20 or 21C in the south.

Sunday 11/9/22
A mostly dry and fine day albeit relatively chilly, though cloud thickens across far western areas with rain pushing across Ireland later and patchy lighter rain reaching southwest England and west Wales. Highs at 15 to 21C.
