Sunday 13/09/20
An area of low pressure will track east across Scotland on Sunday. This brings the risk of some heavier periods of rain here, together with stronger winds. Further rain may affect northern and western Ireland. High pressure will bring dry and fine conditions in the south including eastern Ireland, most of England and Wales. Warm temperatures for most; highs at 24C in southern England, 23C in southern Ireland, 22C in eastern Scotland, 17C in northwest Scotland.

Monday 14/09/20
Staying dry with a good deal of sunshine and very warm for most on Monday. Although, the Northern Isles will see more in the way of cloud and some patchy light rain and drizzle but this should clear later on. Also, western Ireland will see cloud build with patchy light rain moving in here later. Highs at 21 to 27C.

Tuesday 15/09/20
A breakdown in the weather starts from Tuesday with a shallow area of low pressure pushes towards west Ireland. This brings the threat of showers to western areas. Drier further east with some bright or sunny spells. Staying very warm with highs at 22 to 29C.

Wednesday 16/09/20
A band of rain, likely thundery in places, will push northwards on Wednesday reaching the northern half of the country later on in the day and overnight. Mainly dry either side of the rain band. Warm still with highs at 26C in the south and 20C in the north.

Thursday 17/09/20
The thundery band of rain will continue to push northwards through Scotland on Thursday. Much of England currently looks to be dry and largely fine although rather cloudy. Meanwhile, a new area of low pressure pushes in from the west bringing rain to Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales and southwest England through the day. A cooler day with highs at 22C in the south and 18C in the north.

Friday 18/09/20
The area of low pressure progresses eastwards and will likely bring rain to many western areas with the east staying largely dry. The UK back in to a more westerly flow by the end of the working week. Highs ranging from 14 to 20C.
