Mixed weather with colder temperatures across the northern half of ther UK.

Mixed weather is expected through the coming days as Atlantic Low pressure systems and their associated fronts sweep across the country bringing rain and wind at times. Behind the cold fronts do expect a drop in temperatures too with overnight frosts forecast for later next week.

Sunday 22/11/20
High pressure to the south on Sunday brings a southwest to westerly flow to the UK and Ireland and a largely dry day, although cloud will increase later on in the day and rain will spread in from the west. Showers in northern and western Scotland while staying drier and brighter further east. Highs at 6 to 11C.
 


Monday 23/11/20
A cloudy and wet start across east Wales, central and southern parts of England before rain clears to the east allowing for drier and brighter conditions behind. Meanhwile, further north, it will be a largely dry day for eastern areas but cloud and rain will push into western and central areas through the day. Winds will also increase. Highs at 6 to 13C.
 


Tuesday 24/11/20
A front will slide down the country on Tuesday bringing cloud and rain across Scotland then into northern England and Wales during the morning before pushing down across southwest England and central and southern parts of England during the afternoon. The southeast corner should stay dry. Behind the front showers will affect western areas. Drier further east. Breezy to start but winds should ease through the day. High temperatures at 4 to 13C.

Wednesday 25/11/20
High pressure moves east of the UK on Wednesday allowing a weak trough to move across the region from the west. Cloudy and wet conditions are expected across Ireland and Northern Ireland then Wales and England while Scotland, seeing a frosty start in parts, does look to fair somewhat drier but with showers towards northern and western areas. Highs at 3 to 11C.

Thursday 26/11/20
A frosty start across Scotland and northern England. A transient ridge of high pressure over the UK on Thursday though low pressure moves in from the west once more. Staying dry for the morning but increasingly cloudy across much of Great Britain. Rain soon spreads eastwards through the afternoon. Highs of 3 to 12C.

Friday 27/11/20
Rain clears eastern areas Friday morning with drier conditions behind, however, with a brisk westerly wind expect showers across western areas. Temperatures around 5 to 11C.
