Overnight lows dipping close to freezing for some

Largely dry, cooler weather over the weekend into next week before gradually an Atlantic flow moves in increasing the risk for rain and strengthened winds later though it will become milder.

High pressure drifts over the British Isles. A few scattered showers affecting southern and eastern areas for a time but this should ease away. Dry for most other areas with bright or sunny spells. Temperatures at 15 to 20C.

 
 
 

Tuesday 20/9/22
The area of high pressure stays over the British Isles on Tuesday. Some cloud and a few morning showers in East Anglia and southeast England. Broken cloud too in western Ireland and northwest Scotland where there is a risk of some patchy rain moving in here. Dry and bright for most areas with sunny spells. Highs around 16 to 21C.

Wednesday 21/9/22
High pressure drifts east through Wednesday but continues to keep many areas dry across England, Wales and Scotland. Cloudier across Northern Ireland and west Scotland with possible patchy rain. A milder day than of later with highs at 17 to 21C.

Rain across Scotland and Northern Ireland on Thursday, while England and Wales stay dry with sunny spells and feeling pleasantly warm. Highs at 15 to 22C.

Friday 23/9/22
Outbreaks of rain move south down the country though becoming patchy in the south on Friday clearing the north and west seeing drier, brighter and relatively cooler weather here. Highs at 16 to 21C.

Saturday 24/9/22
A windier day with outbreaks of rain in the north and northwest, while southern areas staying dry and fine. Highs at 15 to 20C.
