Milder next week with low pressure bringing unsettled conditions

A cold weekend ahead with further snow showers being brought about by the northerly flow. Indications are that the weather turns milder into next week, at the same time becoming more unsettled.

Monday 04/02/19
Low pressure is centred over the northwest on Monday which will lead to a cloudy start to the day for much of the country. A band of rain, some of it heavy, moves eastwards across the country and brings strong winds with it. Becoming drier and brighter through Ireland, Scotland and western parts of Wales and England later. Highs at a milder 5 to 10C.

Tuesday 05/02/19
A further front passes east through the UK and Ireland on Tuesday. This brings a few hours of rainfall and plenty of cloud for most areas. Strong winds for the northern half of the country. Perhaps becoming brighter in Ireland and western Scotland later. Highs at 6 to 12C.

 

Wednesday 06/02/19
Low pressure remains close by on Wednesday bringing another cloudy day with some showers. Showers will be mainly focussed in western areas though could spread across southern and central parts of England through the afternoon. Windy for the island of Ireland. Highs at 5 to 11C.
 

Thursday 07/02/19
Another unsettled day on Thursday as low pressure remains dominant. Rain will be followed by showers and it is likely to be breezy too. Best of the brightness in the south. High temperatures at 3 to 9C.

Friday 08/02/19
Mixed again on Friday. Low pressure may bring some rain followed by showers, most in the north and west. Drier east and south. Highs at 6 to 10C.

Saturday 09/02/19
Saturday sees the continuation of the unsettled theme as further fronts bring heavy rain and showers to the UK and Ireland. High temperatures at 6 to 11C.
