Pressure builds at the weekend seeing a largely dry week next week, though rain and or showers midweek.

Lower pressure gradually tracks north of Scotland this week allowing for higher pressure to build in at the weekend and into early next week. Mixed weather again through midweek then drier for many towards the end of next week. Warm in the south and southeast too.

Saturday 11/6/22
Low pressure is expected to be to the northwest of Scotland on Saturday. Showers may merge to longer spells of rain in northern and western Scotland, Northern Ireland as well as northern and western regions of Ireland where it will be windy. Other areas are set to be dry with some bright or sunny spells and feeling breezy. Tops at 12C in western Scotland, 15 to 17C for many, but to 20 to 23C over much of England away from western coasts.


Sunday 12/6/22
Low pressure to the north of Scotland with a ridge of high pressure to the southwest on Sunday. Showers in northern and western Scotland with isolated showers in western England, Wales and Ireland. Drier for most areas with sunny spells, the best in the east. Winds ease. Highs at 23C in the sunshine in southeast England, 17C in Ireland and 14C in western Scotland.

Monday 13/6/22
A ridge of high pressure builds through the country during Monday. This brings fair weather with sunny spells. The risk of a few showery bursts of rain in northern and western Scotland, isolated showers affecting other western coasts. The best sunshine in the south and east. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 22C in southern England.

Tuesday 14/6/22
Pressure stays generally high on Tuesday. There will be sunny spells, the best in the east and south. Always more cloud in western areas, especially western Scotland and western Ireland. Mostly dry apart from some spots of rain in western and northern Scotland. Rain also pushing on to some western counties of Ireland. Highs at 24C in the southeast, 16C in northern Scotland.

Wednesday 15/6/22
An area of low pressure brings rain to most places as the day progresses on Wednesday, though central and southeastern areas of England should remain dry with the best of any sunny spells. Highs at 15 to 21C.

Thursday 16/6/22
A largely dry day with sunny spells is expected on Thrusday as a brief ridge develops across the country. Cloud is however expected to build across Ireland later. Highs at 15 to 20C.
