Staying unsettled with wind, rain and showers

Remaining unsettled throughout the coming week. Low pressure will be in control and this will be driving bands of rain, some of them heavy, eastwards and northwards through the UK and Ireland. It will be windy at times too. Although briefly milder in the southeast, most places will be staying cool.

Monday 14/10/19
Monday may start drier for most with some bright or sunny spells though it will be cloudier to the northwest with showers. An area of low pressure will be bringing cloud and rain into southern Ireland, Wales and much of southern England throughout the day. High temperatures at 10 to 15°C.

Tuesday 15/10/19
Tuesday could be a drier and brighter day for many as a ridge of high pressure briefly builds across the country. Low pressure holds on in the far southeast bringing outbreaks of rain here while another low moves into the west of Ireland bringing rain here and increasing cloud across the western UK. Highs at 11 to 15°C for most.
 

Wednesday 16/10/19
Wednesday sees a band of rain pass eastward across Ireland and the UK, some of it heavy. Brighter weather moves into Ireland, Wales and southwest England behind this though a few showers linger here. High temperatures at 10 to 16°C.

 
 
 

Thursday 17/10/19
A weak ridge briefly builds on Thursday bringing a fine start to the day for most though more fronts pass eastwards bringing rain, some of it heavy. The far southeast of England should stay dry. Highs at 10 to 15°C.

Friday 18/10/19
Low pressure to the northwest on Friday brings mixed conditions with strong winds and frequent showers. Showers heaviest to the west and south where they may merge to give longer spells of rain. High temperatures at 11 to 14°C.

Saturday 19/10/19
Low pressure stays to the west on Saturday bringing the continuation of unsettled weather. Bands of heavy rain spread northeastward across the country. Brighter conditions follow to the southwest. Highs at 10 to 13°C.
