Monday 12/02/18
A cool westerly wind across the British Isles, later turning southwesterly. Showery in the west & north-west, with snow to low levels, locally frequent. Some heavy bursts with a risk of hail and isolated thunder. Squally winds. Sunny spells away from showers. Many central and eastern districts will stay dry most of the day. Starting frosty. Top temperatures 3 to 7C, highest toward the south coast.

Tuesday 13/02/18
A frontal system is expected to move from west to east, bringing a period of rain, and extensive hill snow. A chance of snow to lower levels for a time. Brisk southwesterly winds ahead of the front, then turning westerly. Heavy snow and hail showers in the far north-west. Temperatures 3 to 5C or below in some areas, but may rise briefly toward 8C in the south-west.

Wednesday 14/02/18
Low pressure to the west of Ireland is likely to push fronts northwards across the British Isles. This brings a likelihood of widespread rain, and possible snow on the leading edge of this system for northern areas and over the hills. South to southwesterly winds, locally up to gale force. Temperatures 2 to 5C north, 7 to 10C south, mildest south-west.

Thursday 15/02/18
Windy and cold, with strong to gale force westerlies across the country. Low pressure centred north of Scotland. A cold front is likely to have moved eastwards, leaving a showery pattern, with snow and hail to low levels, most frequent in the west & north-west. Highs 2 to 7C, mildest far south.

Friday 16/02/18
A similar chilly westerly pattern, with a mix of wintry showers and sunny spells. Frost and ice overnight. Highs 3 to 7C.

Saturday 17/02/18
A west to northwesterly wind is expected to continue. Wintry showers and some sunshine. Frost and ice in sheltered spots. Highs 3 to 7C.
