Chilly start with possible frost. Mainly dry for most of the day though with some bright or sunny spells, despite a few showers across some northern and eastern areas. Later in the day thicker cloud, with some rain or drizzle, will move into western areas. Highs at 3C to 8C.

Saturday 27/1/18
Cloudy and damp start with light or moderate, rain or drizzle moving eastwards and it will be quite cold as well. However, milder weather develops from the west through the day along with further rain and drizzle as well. Highs at 4C to 10C.

Windy and mostly cloudy across Scotland and perhaps N Ireland with some rain and showers at times through the day, patchy rain and drizzle possible across western hills of England and Wales, but otherwise a lot of dry weather, especially across east and south-east England. A mild or very mild day. Highs 7C to 12C.
 

Monday 29/1/18
Weather front set to move south-eastwards through the day bringing rain and showers to Scotland and Ireland initially, before moving south-eastwards through the day. Cooler, if not colder, showery conditions then follow into Scotland later in the day. Mild in the south, turning colder in the north. Highs 5C to 12C.
 

Tuesday 30/1/18
Some overnight rain possible across southern and south-eastern areas of England this clearing to drier and brighter weather. Further north and west rather cold and showery, showers perhaps wintry on hills. Highs 4C to 9C.

Wednesday 31/18
Uncertainties, but potentially more unsettled and rather cold with low pressure developing from the west and north-west to bring rain and showers to many areas through the day, perhaps wintry on northern hills. Highs 4C to 8C.
