Milder generally, particularly in the south and west, although more mixed weather ahead.
A milder 7 seven days at least coming up with Atlantic low pressure systems and associated fronts moving eastwards across the country. There will be one or two days of drier weather for most as high pressure tries to build in albeit briefly.

Wednesday 13/01/21 A cold start in the north and east but as a band of rain pushes from west to east cloud will build and temperatures should slowly recover. Precipitation will fall as snow across northern England and Scotland mainly as temperatures will be much milder elsewhere. Rain will clear Northern Ireland, Wales, southwest England and southwest Scotland through the morning allowing for drier and brighter conditions to follow here. High temperatures at just 3 or 4C in Scotland and the east of England, 9 to 12C across Ireland, Wales, Northern Ireland and western England.
Thursday 14/01/21 High pressure builds from the west squeezing Wednesday's front over eastern parts of England and Scotland where it continues to bring outbreaks of wintry precipitation. This becomes increasingly light and patchy as the day progresses. A mostly dry and fine day in the west with the best of the sun for Ireland, Northern Ireland, western Scotland and the West Country. Highs of 3 or 4C in the northeast, 10 or 11C in the southwest.
Friday 15/01/21 High pressure extends across much of the UK and Ireland bringing a cool but dry start. A risk of a patchy frost as well as mist and fog patches. The day stays mostly dry and fine though some cloud and patchy light rain may affect far northwestern areas at times. Highs at 3 to 9C.
Saturday 16/01/21 A front will push patchy rain across Scotland, clearing many areas by the afternoon with drier and brighter conditions to follow here. Heavier rain expected for Ireland and Northern Ireland first thing then edging slowly from west to east across England and Wales. The far east could remain dry througout the day. High temperatures range from 4 to 10C.
Sunday 17/01/21 A front stalls over southeast England bringing outbreaks of rain here throughout the day. High pressure builds from the northwest to bring a mostly dry and fine day elsewhere. HIghs of 3 to 10C.
Monday 18/01/21 High pressure builds in across the country to start the new week allowing for many dry conditions, although there could be rather a lot of cloud about. Highs of 4C to 9C.
