Showers and early rain, then drier and brighter as well as warmer

Mixed weather in the next few days as low pressure pushes weak fronts east through the country. Indications are that pressure builds through the weekend and into next week bringing drier weather and sunny spells. Warmer temperatures, especially in the east and south.

Friday 10/6/22
Low pressure will be west of Scotland on Friday. The day is likely to be bright and mostly dry with some good sunny spells in much of England and eastern Wales. Windy with showers in Ireland, heaviest in the west and south, only a few in the east. Further showers in western Scotland and western wales. The showers in western Scotland merging to longer spells of rain later. East Anglia and southern England my have some cloud and a few spots of rain at first, but becoming drier and brighter during the day. Highs at 22 to 23C in central and eastern England, 16C in western Scotland and western Ireland.


Saturday 11/6/22
Low pressure is expected to be to the northwest of Scotland on Saturday. Showers may merge to longer spells of rain in northern and western Scotland as well as the coasts of western Ireland. Other areas are set to be dry with some bright or sunny spells. Tops at 12C in western Scotland, 15 to 17C for many, but to 20 to 23C over much of England away from western coasts.

Sunday 12/6/22
Low pressure to the north of Scotland with a ridge of high pressure to the southwest. Showers in northern and western Scotland with isolated showers in western England, Wales and Ireland. Drier for most areas with sunny spells, the best in the east. Highs at 23C in the sunshine in southeast England, 17C in Ireland and 14C in western Scotland.

Monday 13/6/22
A ridge of high pressure builds through the country during Monday. This brings fair weather with sunny spells. The risk of a few showery bursts of rain in northern and western Scotland, isolated showers affecting other western coasts. The best sunshine in the east. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 22C in southern England.

Tuesday 14/6/22
Pressure stays generally high on Tuesday. There will be sunny spells, the best in the east and south. Always more cloud in western areas, especially western Scotland and western Ireland. Mostly dry apart from some spots of rain in central and northern Scotland. Highs at 24C in the southeast, 16C in northern Scotland.

Wednesday 15/6/22
A weak front edges east on Wednesday bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain. Perhaps turning brighter in the west later. Highs at 16 to 21C
