A mixed week, turning colder at the weekend

Friday 3/11/17
High pressure remains over the south of the UK and Ireland on Friday. There may be mist and murk around on Friday morning in much of England, wales and Ireland, this slowly lifting and clearing. Spots of drizzle may affect high ground in southern England and southern Ireland. Drier elsewhere with a few brighter spells coming through. A weak front slipping into Scotland later bringing rain in western Scotland and western Ireland with the breeze increasing here. Highs at 8 to 12C.

Saturday 4/11/17
A front passes east on Saturday, slowly clearing from the southeast later in the day. This brings cloud and rain with it, the risk of some heavier bursts of rain for a time too. Brighter and cooler weather follow to the west and north. Heavier showers in western Scotland and Ireland. Feeling cold in the wind. Good spells of sunshine away from the showerier areas. Feeling cooler at 7 to 12C.

Sunday 5/11/17
A ridge of high pressure builds through Ireland on Sunday with a north to northwesterly flow for most of the UK,. This brings the risk of some showers around the coasts, mostly in the north and east and feeling cold for all too. Away from these areas it should be a dry, bright and chilly day with lots of sunshine. Highs near 6 to 11C.

Monday 6/11/17
The ridge of high pressure persists through Monday. This brings a fair day to England, Wales, eastern Scotland and eastern Ireland with an early frost. Fronts pushing into western Ireland may bring strong winds and a risk of some patchy rain here, this edging into western Scotland later. Highs at 8 to 12C.

Tuesday 7/11/17
High pressure in southern and eastern England bringing dry weather and some sunny spells here. Cloud and rain affecting northern and western England and Wales as well as much of Ireland. Brighter weather arrives in northern and western Scotland and feeling cool here too. Highs at 7 to 11C.

Wednesday 8/11/17
Rain in Scotland, Ireland, northern and western parts of England and Wales on Wednesday. More eastern and southern areas should be drier with sun ny spells. Highs at 8 to 12C.
