Windy and colder
Rain tonight

Sunday
Remnants of Storm Brian with the very strong winds will move into the North Sea today but still quite a windy day. Parts of central, southern and eastern England may escape with a dry day with a good deal of cloud. Elsewhere expect more in the way of showers and some may be on the heavy side. Apart from a few showers on the north coast mainly in the morning, it's looking fine across Northern Ireland. Expect maximum temperatures of 10 to 13 Celsius but feeling colder in brisk winds from the north west.

Sunday Night
It continues rather windy into the evening. An area of rain is expected to spread into Northern Ireland, western Wales and south western parts of England during the evening. This then moves into central and southern areas of England with the north and east to stay dry. Expect minimum temperatures here of 8 to 10 Celsius but a milder 12 Celsius in the cloudier west.

Monday
A breezy day to come across Britain and a wet morning for all but Northern Ireland where it looks fine and dry all day. The rain will be heaviest across eastern parts of England. In the afternoon light rain may linger across East Anglia and the far south of England with the rest of Britain chiefly dry with cloud and some sun. Rain in the far south in the evening sweeps quickly north in all parts of Britain in the night and will be heavy across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Expect highs of 13 to 17 Celsius north to south.

Tuesday
A band of moderate to heavy rain will be across Northern Ireland, southern Scotland, northern England and Wales and will tend to linger here for much of the day with a risk of local flooding. A dry, sunny day to come across northern Scotland with the south dry but cloudy. More rain is likely from Wales northward into Scotland in the evening and night. A mild day with temperatures above normal. Expect highs of 12 to 19 Celsius.
