The rain reaches northeast England in the late afternoon and evening which then enhances the risk of flooding later, Further cloud and showers or rain in eastern England and eastern Scotland. Brighter and drier to the west of the UK and across Ireland. Feeling cold in the strong northeast wind. Highs at 5 to 8C.


Thursday Night
Rain across northern England overnight will bring a further risk of flooding. More rain in Wales and the western Midlands with showery rain in southwest England. Showers in eastern Scotland with snow over the hills of eastern Scotland. Fair and dry in western Scotland and much of Ireland, although there will be some cloud and rain in eastern Ireland. Windy in northern England, Wales and eastern Ireland. Lows at 1 to 4C.


Friday
Low pressure over central Europe and ridge of high pressure building through Ireland and western Scotland. A fresh to strong northeast flow over England and Wales as well as southern Scotland. Outbreaks of rain in eastern Scotland and eastern England, most persistent in the southeast. Fair and dry as well as bright in western Scotland, Wales and western England as well as most of Ireland. Highs at 6 to 8C.


Saturday
Low pressure east of the UK on Saturday. Cloud and rain in eastern parts of England. Western parts should be drier with broken cloud and some sunny spells. It may be rather misty for a while before slowly lifting to leave brighter weather. Cloud and outbreaks of rain in western Ireland western Scotland. Temperatures at 5 to 9C.
