Sunday
Staying very unsettled with all areas seeing some rain at times throughout the day. One band of rain clears to the east of England and Scotland through the morning and a brief spell of drier conditions develops for many though blustery showers will still affect western coasts and hills in particular. These heaviest and most persistent over western Scotland. Another area of rain and very strong winds arrives from the southwest through the afternoon spreading across Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, southwest England, northern England and southern Scotland through the afternoon. Mild in the south and southeast with highs here at 14 to 16C, cooler further north and west with highs here at just 8 or 9C for many.


Sunday night
Rain continues over much of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales as well as northern and western parts of England overnight. Rain will be particularly heavy and persistent over southern Scotland. Drier but cloudy for central and southeastern parts of England. Staying very windy through the night with gales across Ireland and the southern half of the UK. Overnight lows at 5 to 7C for Northern Ireland, western Ireland and northern Scotland. A much milder 12 to 17C across England, Wales, southern Scotland and eastern Ireland.


Monday
Another very windy day on Monday. Wet with rain and gales across much of England and Wales initially before the rain clears Wales and central England through the morning. Rain will clear the south and southeast of England later on. Sunny spells and showers behind. Meanwhile, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland will see strong winds, coastal gales to the west, as well as blustery showers, these merging into longer spells of rain at times. Drier further east across these areas. Mild for much of the day across southern and southeastern areas but cooler air moves across the country and by the end of the day and max temperatures will be around 7 to 15C.


Tuesday
Winds continue to slowly ease across the country on Tuesday. A bright northwesterly flow develops with plenty of dry conditions towards the east. Frequent, blustery showers affect northwestern coasts and hills of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland as well as over northwestern parts of England and Wales. Further south, an area of patchy rain moves eastward across Wales and south England during the morning. High temperatures range from 7 to 11C.
