Friday
A trough of low pressure extends across the northwest on Friday while a smaller area of low pressure tracks across Ireland. This will bring heavy rain and gales to Ireland through the afternoon reaching Wales by the evening. It will be a mostly dry morning for Ireland prior to this. A band of rain will spread from west to east across England, Scotland and Wales but this should mostly clear to leave a dry and bright period with just a few isolated showers before the next band of heavy rain moves into western areas through the evening. A mostly dry and bright day in the northeast of Scotland. Highs at 13 to 15C in the east, 9 to 12C in the west.

Friday Night
A wet and very windy night for much of Ireland, Wales and England. Some very heavy rain is expected over eastern Ireland, across Wales and into the West Midlands and northwest of England. Heavy showers affecting Scotland and eastern England too. It will be a very windy night across Ireland, Wales and the south of England with gusts of 70 mph possible through the Bristol Channel. Overnight lows around 6 to 9C.

Saturday
An area of low pressure tracks across the southern UK on Saturday bringing heavy rain and high winds to England throughout the day. Gusts of 60 mph are possible along the English Channel coast. It will also bring heavy rain to Wales through the morning and across eastern parts of Scotland through the afternoon. It will be a showery day for Northern Ireland and western Scotland though there will be some good sunny spells here too. A windy day for western coastal areas and through the English Channel. Temperatures at a chilly 9 to 11C in the west, 12 to 14C in the east.

Sunday
A ridge of high pressure builds over the UK on Sunday. A weak warm front will bring scattered showers and light rain to the island of Ireland, western Scotland, Wales and western parts of England throughout the day. A brighter day in the east with some good sunny spells in the northeast. High temperatures widely at 11 to 16C.
