Saturday
A change from hot air to the east, to warm air which is in the west through Saturday. The boundary between the two areas will be a cold front which will be edging eastward bringing showery bursts of rain into the west of the UK on Saturday morning. Fine and hot ahead of this front, warmest in the east and southeast. Fresher weather reaching Ireland in the morning with sunny spells and scattered showers, this brighter weather into the west of the UK later. A chance of some thunderstorms developing in northern England and across Scotland in the evening. Tending to be dry in the far south of England. Highs at 31C in southeast England, 20C in Ireland.

Saturday Night
Some heavy, perhaps thundery, showers continuing for Scotland through the night, these mainly focussed around western, northern and eastern fringes of the country. Elsewhere across the UK and Ireland it will be a mostly dry night with a chance of a light shower for western areas later. Cloudier in the west, clearer skies to the east. Overnight lows staying in double figures for most at 11 to 15C.

Sunday
Low pressure is to the north of Scotland on Sunday. A fresher, westerly flow brings sunshine and showers, most of these to the north and west. A few of the showers could be heavy in western areas, especially over northern and western Scotland. Southern and eastern parts of England are likely to remain dry with the best of the sunshine here. Windy in Scotland and Northern Ireland with a risk of gales in the north and west. Highs at a cooler 16 to 18C in northern and western areas, but 22 to 24C in the east and south of England.

Monday
Low pressure to the north on Monday with a ridge of high pressure building into Ireland. A day of sunshine and showers for many, the showers heaviest in the north and northwest. Much of England and Wales, away from northwest England will have only light, scattered showers. Breezy in northern areas. Highs at 13C in northern Scotland, 19C in southern England.
