Very warm, cooler east

Friday
Good spells of sunshine and dry on Friday morning for most. There will be more cloud in Scotland and Ireland, this being broken with a few bright spells too. There will be little change into the afternoon with further spells of sunshine and fair conditions. More cloud in Ireland and Scotland, although staying dry. Highs at 24C in central Scotland, cooler on eastern coasts at 17C, but more widely 20 to 23C.


Friday Night
Staying dry through tonight for almost all areas. Skies will be mostly clear. There is always the threat of some broken cloud in Ireland and western Scotland, with a few spots of rain affecting far western coasts. Lows near 9 to 12C.

 
 
 


Saturday
High pressure stays to the east on Saturday. A fine morning through England and Wales with plenty of sunshine. More cloud in Scotland and Ireland, this being broken. Staying dry with similar weather for most into the afternoon, although there is a low risk of a shower in the Midlands and over the hills of western Scotland. Highs around 19 to 22C for most, 24C in central Scotland, but cooler on eastern coasts.


Sunday
Pressure remains high over the UK and Ireland on Sunday, centred to the east. There wil be some good spells of sunshine again, and it will be cool along eastern coasts. A few showers may be triggered in the afternoon in central England and Ireland. A chance of some showers in western parts of Scotland too. A brisk east breeze over eastern coasts, temperatures generally 17 to 22C, always coolest on eastern coasts.
