Friday
Outbreaks of rain affect southeastern areas of England on Friday, in places falling heavy for a time. Some patchy showery rain is expected to track across northern and western areas, but many places will be dry with bright and or sunny spells while feeling comparatively cooler. Highs at 13 to 16C in the north, 17 to 20C further south.
 


Friday Night
Overnight, some patchy light rain will affect mainly coastal areas of England and Wales though most places staying dry. The very far southeast continues to be affected by longer spells of rain. Lows dropping as low as 3 or 4C across Scotland into northern England, 5 to 12C elsewhere.
 


Saturday
Saturday sees a cool start in the north with a mostly dry and fine day expected here. Across England and Wales there will be more variable cloud but also sunny spells and some scattered showers, perhaps longer spells of rain for some for a time. Feeling fresher for all with highs at 13 to 17C.
 


Sunday
Much of Britain and Ireland stays dry with sunny spells on Sunday. Strengthening winds, up to gale force strength, across northern Scotland later. Rain moving in to northern and western areas of Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Highs at a cool 14 to 17C.
