Drier across north and west Scotland as well as western parts of Ireland. Highs across the northeast at 15 or 16C, 18 to 21C elsewhere.

Friday Night
Overnight, some showers affect England and Wales, thundery along eastern coasts, though many places will remain dry. Dry with clear spells across the west, though mist and fog is likely to develop through the early hours. Chillier than of late with lows at around 7 to 12C for most, 13 to 15C across SE England.

Saturday
A ridge of high pressure bringing a mostly dry day across Ireland and the UK on Saturday with some sunny spells, once mist and fog patches lift.
