Monday
A misty and muggy morning with some spots of patchy drizzle or rain in England and Wales. Showery bursts of rain in southern Ireland too with plenty of cloud. Scotland is remaining wet in the north and east, but this thundery rain area gradually edges north as southern parts become drier. Thundery showers will be developing readily through the morning and into the afternoon across England and Wales, these reaching southern and eastern Scotland too. The island of Ireland will be seeing these thundery showers too. Localised downpours are possible with a risk of brief flooding. Highs at 22 to 26C, but 13C in northern Scotland.

Monday Night
Thundery showers drift north through this evening and overnight, becoming drier and misty for a time. A further batch of thundery rain then arrives, affecting mostly the central and eastern parts of the UK. Again this coud be locally heavy with a risk of flooding. Most western areas, Ireland and western Scotland should stay dry. A muggy night, especially in east. Lows at 14 to 19C for many, 11C in northern Scotland.

Tuesday
Low pressure close to the east of the UK may bring some further bursts of thundery rain to eastern areas during Tuesday morning, together with plenty of mist and low cloud. The west is likely to be drier and brighter. Feeling muggy for all. It should be turning brighter for all in the afternoon, the coud breaking and sunny spells developing. Northern Scotland may stay dull with some drizzle. Highs at 22 to 28C but 16C in northern Scotland.

Wednesday
Higher pressure to the west of Ireland on Wednesday, lower pressure to the south. There could be some thundery showers running through the far south of England for a time. All other areas are likely to be dry with sunny spells and dry weather. The best of the sunshine in western areas. A brisk northeast wind in the south. Highs at 18C on eastern coasts, but more widely 22 to 27C.
