Sunshine & showers
Feeling fresher

Sunday
Low pressure is to the north of Scotland on Sunday. A fresher, westerly flow brings sunshine and showers, most of these to the north and west. A few of the showers could be heavy in western areas, especially over northern and western Scotland. Southern and eastern parts of England are likely to remain dry with the best of the sunshine here. Windy in Scotland and Northern Ireland with a strong breeze in the north and west. Highs at a cooler 15 to 17C in northern and western areas, but 23 to 25C in the east and south of England.

Sunday Night
Rain continuing for western Scotland and northwestern parts of Ireland through the night on Sunday and into Monday morning. Showers affecting central and eastern Scotland and northwestern England too. Dry with clearer skies for southeastern parts of the UK and Ireland. Overnight lows at 8 to 12C.

Monday
Low pressure to the northeast on Monday with a ridge of high pressure building into Ireland. A day of sunshine and showers for many, the showers heaviest in the north and northwest. Much of England and Wales, away from northwest England, will be dry and bright with just the slight chance of a light, isolated shower. Breezy in northern areas. Highs at 13 or 14C in northern Scotland, 19 to 20C in southern England.

Tuesday
Higher pressure builds through the UK and Ireland on Tuesday. This is going to give a dry day with good spells of sunshine for most. A low risk of some cloud and a few spots of rain in the far northwest of Scotland. Just isolated showers elsewhere, particularly for southwestern parts of Ireland and the UK. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 21C in southern England.
