Rain in far south

Wednesday
Cloud and outbreaks of rain in the far south of England this morning, this continuing into the early afternoon. Brighter elsewhere with sunny spells and drier weather. Isolated showers affecting the far north of Scotland, Shetland and Orkney. This afternoon stays bright in much of England and Wales, the cloud and rain in the far south slowly fading away. Further scattered showers in the far north of Scotland. Cloudier skies too for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Highs at 22C in much of England and Wales, cooler to the north with temperatures at 14C across northern Scotland.


Wednesday Night
Scattered showers continue to affect northern Scotland, Orkney and Shetland overnight. Further isolated showers across eastern coasts of England. Drier elsewhere with some clear skies. Lows under clearer skies at 3 to 7C, but nearer 9C over eastern England.

 
 
 


Thursday
High pressure west of Ireland on Thursday with low pressure to the east. Showers around northern coasts of Scotland. Isolated showers over East Anglia and southeast England. Dry with sunny spells for most other areas. More cloud affecting much of Ireland. Feeling coo in the northwest wind. Highs at 20C in southern England, 12C in northern Scotland.
 


Friday
High pressure to the northwest of Ireland with low pressure to the east on Friday. There will be a few showers in northern and eastern Scotland, further showers affecting eastern coasts of England. For other areas it will be feeling chilly with sunny spells. A brisk northerly wind with highs at 10C in northern Scotland, 18C in southern England.
