Another fair day to come across most of England and Wales. There may be some cloud over East Anglia and Southeast England at first, but this will break with sunny spells developing here too. A broader area of cloud affects central and southern Scotland as well as much of Ireland with a few spots of rain over the hills. Brighter in northern Scotland with some good sunny intervals here and feeling cooler too. Highs around 15C in Wales and northwest England as well as western Ireland, 11C in eastern England and 7C in northwest Scotland.

Thursday Night
Clear skies over England and Wales tonight although there is always the risk of some low cloud affecting eastern coast. Cloudier in Scotland and the far north-west of England as well as three much of Ireland. There is a risk of a few bits of low cloud drifting on to eastern coast. A touch of Frost for some across central and western areas of England and Wales with lows at -2C, but nearer 3C on eastern coasts. Nearer 6C in the cloudier parts of Scotland and Ireland.

Friday
High-pressure will remain on a Friday but the winds will turn to a colder north easterly for most. This increases the risk of cloud affecting central and eastern areas during the day although there will be bright or sunny spells here too. Sunnier in Northwest England, western Wales and much of southern England. A week front will bring spots of rain to central and southern Scotland as well essential parts of Ireland. Brighter for the far west of Ireland and northern Scotland. Feeling cooler in the breeze with highs at 9 to 12C in much of England and Wales, 10C in Scotland and Ireland, and 7C in northern Scotland.

Saturday
High pressure stays west of Scotland on Saturday with a strong northeast flow affecting many areas. There will be some wintry showers in eastern Scotland and northeast England. Drier in the west and brighter with sunny spells. Feeling cold for all in that wind. A few showers in western Ireland, but mostly dry here. Highs around 5 to 8C, but feeling much colder in the wind.
