Friday
Low pressure to the northeast of Scotland on Friday. This brings outbreaks of rain across Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales and England as well as across the southern half of Scotland. Rain clears western and northern areas through the morning to give some good spells of sunshine though scattered showers also follow, especially over northwest-facing coasts and hills where they may be locally heavy and thundery. Rain takes a little longer to clear eastern England but should do so by the evening. Highs at 9 to 12C in the north and west, 13 to 15C in the south and east.

Friday Night
Showers affect northwestern coasts and hills through Friday night and into Saturday morning. These may merge to give longer spells of rain over northwestern parts of England, Wales and Scotland. Staying drier for more central and southeastern areas with the clearest skies over eastern England. Overnight lows at a chilly 3 to 8C, cooler in more rural spots where more sheltered areas may see a touch of frost developing.

Saturday
A brighter but colder northwest to northerly flow affects the whole of the British Isles on Saturday. Higher pressure west of Ireland with low pressure to the east. There will be a mix of sunshine and showers. Most showers in northern and eastern Scotland and eastern England where they may merge to give longer spells of rain. Parts of Wales could see some heavier bursts too. Fewer showers in Ireland where the best sunshine will be too. Highs at a cool 10 to 13C, feeling colder in the breeze.

Sunday
Higher pressure southwest of Ireland with low pressure to the east on Sunday. The result is a northwest to north wind but a fair day for many as well. Some showers around northern and eastern coasts, but generally drier elsewhere. A cold start to the day with a frost in places and then staying chilly with highs at 9 to 13C.
