Some heavy rain
Winds strengthen in north

Monday
A frosty start for many. Low pressure over the North Sea will move towards eastern coasts. This will bring increasing cloud to eastern and central areas of Scotland and England. Rain moving in to eastern areas of Scotland and the far northeast of England through the day, spreading across northern Scotland by the end of the day. Winds will also strengthen. Meanwhile, a largely cloudy day for southern Ireland as well as the far southwest tip of England with some patchy light rain about. Western coasts of Wales will continue to see showers but largely dry elsewhere. Another chilly day generally. Highs at 2 to 6C.


Monday night
Cloudy for most although expect clear spells across much of Ireland and the far south of England. Rain will continue across much of Scotland. Showery outbreaks of rain over west Wales, southwest England as well as across the far southeast coast of England. A cold night for particularly southern areas of England and Ireland where frost will form. and lows will reach between -1-2C. Milder further north with lows around 0 to 4C.


Tuesday
A low pressure system moves eastwards across Scotland on Tuesday seeing a wet and cloudy start across Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland. There will be a mix of rain, sleet and snow to these areas. Windy day in the north too. Precipitation should clear eastern areas of Scotland through the morning with sunny spells developing here. Expect sunny spells and showers across southwest England and southern areas of Wales. After a misty/foggy start, it should be largely dry with sunny spells elsewhere. High temperatures at 3 to 7C.


Wednesday
The low over the northern half of the UK continues to fill allowing for outbreaks of rain to gradually ease off through the day, however, an Atlantic low pressure system and associated front pushes into western areas outbreaks of rain to Ireland, Northern Ireland as well as parts of Wales and western areas of Engand and Scotland by the end of the day. Staying drier further east. Highs at 3 to 6C for most, 8 or 9C in western Ireland, west Wales and the far southwest of England.
