Thursday
Showery bursts of rain affecting much of Western and southern Scotland this morning, as well as northern England, northern and western Wales. The rain area will slip eastwards during that day, although much of eastern and southern England from East Anglia sidewards should stay dry with some sunny spells. Rain Will be heavy at times as it moves through central and eastern Scotland this afternoon with the risk of some flooding developing this evening in parts of Northeast Scotland. Ireland will become brighter and fresher with sunny spells and a few showers affecting Northern and western areas. Becoming brighter to across western parts of England this afternoon. A muggy day in the east. Highs at 25C in southeast England, 18C in northern Scotland.

Thursday Night
Rain continues through tonight across northern and eastern Scotland and, Some of that heavy and leading to further localised flooding. Any showers will clear east of England to leave many areas dry with clear spells. There will be some showers affecting western coast of Wales, Northwest England and western Scotland as well as northern Ireland. Temperatures falling to between 11 and 15°C.

Friday
High-pressure to the west of Ireland through Friday. A north-westerly flow affects all parts of the UK and Ireland. There will be sunny spells but also some showers, these continuing into the afternoon. More persistent rain may affect central, Northern and eastern Scotland until late afternoon. Driest of the weather always in more western areas. Temperatures at 24C in southeast England, 16C in northern Scotland.

Saturday
High pressure remains on Saturday. A northerly flow brings cool conditions and sunny spells. There is a risk of some showers in central and northern Scotland, with the risk of scattered showers forming over the Pennines and parts of the Welsh Mountains on Saturday afternoon. Dry for most and feeling cool. Highs at 16 to 22C.
