UK Forecast - March 01, 2020
Showers west
Drier, brighter east

Monday
Low pressure northwest of Scotland on Monday brings rain, sleet and snow showers to western Scotland and Northern Ireland. These may merge to give longer spells of precipitation here. After early rain clears southeastern England, it will be a brighter day here but with some wintry showers affecting western coasts and hills. A bright day too for much of Ireland and Wales though western areas here also see some wintry showers. Isolated showers may spread across central and eastern parts of England later. A windy day for western coastal areas with highs at 3 to 7C.

Monday Night
Rain generally eases for Scotland and Northern Ireland over night though scattered showers continue to affect western coasts and hills across the UK and Ireland. Drier for eastern areas with the best of any clear skies here. Cloud builds over Ireland through the night as low pressure approaches from the southwest. Rain arrives to the far southwest of Ireland by daybreak. Overnight lows range from -1 to 3C allowing a patchy frost and some spots of ice to form.

Tuesday
Outbreaks of rain may affect the far southwest of Ireland and the far southwest of England on Tuesday though a ridge of higher pressure builds in behind this causing any scattered showers and drizzly outbreaks of rain over parts of the UK to ease through the day. Spells of sunshine become more frequent as the day progresses too. High temperatures around 4 to 7C.

Wednesday
Wednesday starts bright and frosty to the east while cloudier conditions and frequent showers affect western areas. Showers are wintry over Scotland and Northern Ireland and over higher ground in England and Wales. Showers tending to ease for England and Wales later. Mostly dry and bright for central and eastern areas. Highs at 5 to 8C.
