Showers, sunny spells Sunday
Thundery showers Monday

Sunday
Lower pressure in control on Sunday. A southwest airflow allows for sunny spells, although scattered showers will be developing, most over high ground and through central and southern England. A risk of some heavier showers in the north of Scotland, across the island of Ireland and for Wales and the southwest of England. Temperatures at 20C in southeast England in the sunshine, more generally 13 to 18C.

Sunday Night
Showers easing for most through Sunday evening and overnight though some heavier showers could linger in the far southeast merging into longer spells of rain and pushing north into East Anglia through the wee hours. Cloudy skies to the north and west where there could also be the odd isolated shower, generally clearer skies elsewhere. Overnight lows around 4 to 8C.

Monday
Low pressure to the southeast on Monday could bring a wet start to the day here. Elsewhere should be brighter with just the odd isolated shower. Showers intensifying through the afternoon and spreading across central and southern England into Wales. Heavy showers too for western Scotland and eastern Ireland. Showers developing through the afternoon are likely to be thundery in nature. Highs typically at 13 to 19C, though 20 or 21C is possible for a few favoured spots across England.

Tuesday
Higher pressure to the northwest of Scotland on Tuesday. Lower pressure over southeast England bringing cloud and rain, some of it heavy and thundery. Some heavy bursts of rain for southwestern England, Wales and eastern Ireland. Scattered showers in eastern England. Drier in northwestern areas where there will be some sunshine. Potentially windy in the east too. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, 17C in southern England.
