Low pressure stays in charge, with the main feature centred toward the northeast, but a secondary low likely to affect northern England and southern Scotland. Heavy rain at times for English-Scottish border regions and spreading into central Scotland while a separate front brings a band of showery rain across central and southern England. A mostly cloudy day with the best of any brightness over Wales and northern England. Breezy in the south, but less windy than Saturday. High temperatures ranging from 14C in the north to 22C in the south.

Sunday night
Rain continues over southern Scotland and northern England overnight but eases elsewhere. Cloudier skies to the north and west of this over Scotland and the northern half of Ireland. Clearer skies to the south over southern Ireland, England and Wales. Showers moving into western parts of Ireland and Scotland through the wee hours. Overnight lows at a chilly 7 to 11C, cooler in more rural areas.

Monday
A west to northwesterly flow prevails into the start of the week as a trough of low pressure continues to influence the British Isles. Generally a mix of sunshine, showers and outbreaks of rain. The best of the brightness will be reserved for southeastern parts of the UK and Ireland while there will be some heavier bursts of rain for eastern parts of Ireland and Scotland and northeastern England. High temperatures at 14 to 20C, warmest in southern England.

Tuesday
An area of low pressure tracks across Ireland overnight then across Wales and England throughout the day. This brings outbreaks of heavy rain and gusty winds for a time to the southern UK. Brightening from the west later with scattered showers. A bright day on the whole for the island of Ireland and Scotland though there will be frequent showers spreading from west to east for Northern Ireland and Scotland throughout the day. High temperatures at 13 to 19C.
