Rain through Ireland, southern and western Wales as well as central and southwest England this morning. Low cloud and fog affects the coasts and hills. A sunny and colder morning in much of Sotland, northern and eastern England, just a few showers in the far northeast of Scotland. The rain turns lighter this afternoon in Ireland with low cloud and mist. Further drizzle with low cloud, mist and fog over southwest Wales and southwest England. Sunny and dry in the north and east, staying chilly here. Highs at 5C in central and eastern areas, but milder air flowing from the west with tops at 11C in southern Ireland and southwest England.

Periods of rain across Ireland, southwest Scotland, northwest England, Wales, southwest England and the western Midlands tonight. The rain could be heavy at times through Ireland and Wales. Drier in eastern parts of England and Scotland with a touch of frost here. Misty and drizzly in Ireland, western and southern Wales as well as southwest England.
 

Wednesday
Fronts passing eastwards through Wednesday. These will be bringing cloud and rain, some of it heavy in the north and west, the heaviest in western Scotland, Wales and northwest England. The risk of some sleet on hills in the north. Drier in the east at first, although rain will be reaching here through the afternoon. Conditions turning more drizzly in the west with low cloud and fog affecting these areas. Highs at 11C in Ireland and much of Wales, central and southern England. Colder north and east with tops near 2 to 4C here.

Thursday
A slow moving front affecting eastern Scotland and eastern England on Thursday. This brings periods of rain together with the risk of sleet and snow over high ground. The rain, sleet and snow is expected to become lighter and more patchy through the day.Further cloud and some periods of rain in central and southern England. Drier in the west of Scotland, Wales and western England with the best of any sunshine in Ireland. Highs at 5 to 7C in Scotland and northern England, 11C in southern England.
