Rain on Monday
Turning cooler

Monday
A cloudy start for many with patchy rain across southern Scotland, Northern Ireland into northern, central England and parts of Wales. Turning drier and brighter across Scotland into the far north of England as the day progresses, though showers will affect northern Scotland, some heavy and possibly thundery. Rain perhaps turning more persistent across northern England into the Midlands regions as well as across Wales for a time later, while the far south and southeast should remain dry and feeling warm. Highs at up to 26C in southeast England, 17 to 22C elsewhere, cooler across north Scotland.


Monday Night
Cloud with patchy rain sinking southwards across southern parts of Britain overnight. Clear spells further north and staying largely dry, though some showers continue to affect northern parts of Scotland. Lows at 7 to 12C for most, milder in the south and southeast of England.
 


Tuesday
A cool start in the north on Tuesday. With high pressure ridging in it will be a largely dry and bright day for most with plenty of sunny spells about, though cloud and outbreaks of rain will affect southern English counties. Highs at 18 to 23C, cooler across north and west Scotland.
 


Wednesday
High pressure stays to the west on Wednesday with low pressure to the east. A prominant northerly wind will blow through making many feel rather cool, though it is expected to be mostly dry and bright, just scattered showers across northern and northwestern regions of Scotland. Outbreaks of rain continue to pester the far south of England, though the rain should ease and clear in the afternoon. Highs at 23C in the south, 15C in the north.
