Sunday
Low pressure to the west produces a showery southwesterly pattern across Britain and Ireland. Hail and isolated thunder possible. In the morning, bursts of rain will be focused around coasts in the south and west, but spreading increasingly inland. By afternoon, a scattering of showers is likely to be widespread. Some persistent rain for western Ireland. Driest areas will be eastern England, and the far north of Scotland with sunny spells. Gusty winds near showers. Highs 9 to 13C.


Sunday night
Showers will continues to affect western coasts, giving some heavy and frequent bursts of rain. A few showers for southern coasts of England. Inland, showers will fade, leaving broken cloud and clear spells. A south to southwesterly breeze, strongest winds around coasts in the west & south-west. Temperatures fairly mild, and frost free overall, lows 5 to 8C for most, nearer 10C around southern coasts. Locally 3C in rural northern England and the Scottish Highlands.


Monday
Low pressure centred west of Scotland maintains an unsettled southwesterly pattern. Frequent heavy bursts of rain for much of western Britain and Ireland, merging to give many hours of near-constant rain in places. Occasional rain spreading across central England, but eastern regions will be generally dry with sunny spells. The far north & north-east of Scotland also escapes mostly dry. Rain may be quite patchy for Northern Ireland. Blustery winds. Highs 9 to 14C.


Tuesday
A mild southwesterly pattern influences the British Isles. Largely dry for central, southern and eastern England with some sunshine. Showery in western Scotland and north-west England, although the intensity of showers will fade. Drizzly showers for Wales and south-west England. Breezy, strongest winds in the west. Mild temperatures day and night, highs 10 to 14C, warmest south-east.
