Sunday
A band of rain passing through northern England, Wales, the Midlands and southwest England this morning. Drier and brighter in southeast England with some sunny spells, although outbreaks of rain arrive here through this afternoon. Brighter weather follows to the north and west, turning cooler as well. Some heavy showers will be arriving in northern and western Scotland as well as much of Ireland. These showers turning increasingly wintry over the hills of Scotland. Highs at 4C in northern Scotland, 10 to 12C in England and Wales, 6 to 8C elsewhere.


Sunday Night
Patchy rain clears from southeast England this evening. Wintry showers fading from northern Scotland too, although a few may affect eastern coasts for a time. Drier for most areas with clearer skies developing. A frost will develop, severe in Scotland and Ireland, lows around -7C in central Scotland, widely -2 to 2C elsewhere.
 


Monday
A ridge of high pressure builds through the country on Monday. There will be plenty of sunshine with a morning frost. Increasing coud in western Scotland and western Ireland with the winds picking up too. Rain into these areas in the evening, some of it heavy. Drier in England, Wales and eastern Scotland and well as eastern Ireland. Sunshine remains throughout the afternoon in southern and southeast England. Highs at 8 to 12C.


Tuesday
A ridge of high pressure remains in the far south. A front extends through Ireland, Wales and central England bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain. Mild in southern England with broken cloud, some low cloud and mist over coasts and hills. Brighter in northern England and Scotland. Some showers in northern Scotland, these wintry in places. Highs at 8 to 12C.
