Sunny spells developing across northwest Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland with mainly dry conditions although showers will affect western parts of Scotland and western coasts of Ireland. A wet day throughout for Wales with heavy and persistent spells of rain at times. Rain across northern England will soon clear but it will remain cloudy here. Some patchy rain across southwest England too. Drier elsewhere across England. Mild in the south with highs at 17C here, 9C in northern Scotland.

Friday night
Rain spreading across Wales, southwest England, Ireland, Northern Ireland as well as northern parts of England and southern Scotland by dawn. Dry for northern Scotland and across southern and central England. Staying mild in the south with lows here around 12 to 14C. Cooler further north with lows close to zero across northern Scotland and lows of 4 to 6C elsewhere in the north.

Saturday
A deep area of low pressure over Ireland on Saturday will be bringing a windy day to all. There will be rain, most of it in the north and west and some of it could be heavy. Eastern parts will see more in the way of patchy rain. Heavy showers across Ireland, some of them could be thundery. A risk of severe gales in the west. Staying mild in the south. Highs at 10 to 16C.
 

Sunday
Staying unsettled with all areas seeing some rain at times throughout the day. Rain will be heaviest and most persistent across southern and eastern areas first thing. Scotland should be largely dry to start. Windy across the south and west. Through the day rain will spread northwards and winds will be brisk for most all places. Rain will clear from the west for a time before the next low pressure system and rain band moves in later. Mild in the south and southeast with highs here at 16 to 17C, cooler further north and west with highs here at 10 to 11C.
