Friday
Plenty of cloud around for many areas of the British Isles on Friday morning. There will be some rain, sleet and snow affecting central and eastern parts of Scotland. A further area of showery rain across Wales, central and southern England and rather breezy here too. Brighter for Ireland with some scattered showers. This afternoon see some brightest guys across much of England and Wales after any showers clear. It should become dry across much of Scotland to with sunshine and much colder air in the north. Ireland will see scattered showers across northern areas but overall should be dry with some bright spells. Highs at 10C in central and southern England, 3C in northern Scotland.


Friday Night
A severe frost in Scotland and parts of northern England through tonight. Cloud increases for Ireland, England and Wales with the wind picking up too. Rain quickly spreads from the south to be affecting match of Ireland, Wales as well as central and southern parts of England by morning. The rain could become heavy at times especially on hills where it will also be turning to snow across high ground of Northern Ireland and Wales. Lows at -8C in central Scotland, 6C in southwest England.


Saturday
As low pressure crosses southern England it will bring strong winds and wet weather across much of Ireland, Wales, Central, eastern and southern England on Saturday. The rain increasingly turning to sleet and snow as it meets colder air across central Ireland, Wales and the Midlands. Several centimetres of snow are likely over high ground and there may even be some at low levels in these areas. Colder and drier across the far north of England and Scotland although always a fair amount of cloud. Highs at 3 to 5C for most, 9C in southern England and Ireland.


Sunday
A weak reach of high-pressure builds across the British Isles on Sunday giving a widespread frost. This should bring a drier and colder day to all. There will be some bright or sunny spells especially at first. A few snow showers affecting northern and eastern Scotland as well as north east England. Thicker cloud brings rain into Southwest Ireland and eventually Southwest England later in the afternoon. The winds will be increasing here too. A general increase of cloud across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Highs around 2 to 5C, but 10C in the Isles of Scilly and 7C in southwest Ireland.
