Friday
A ridge of high pressure builds across England and Wales on Friday. This brings dry weather with sunny spells, the best of them in the east. The winds picking up over Scotland and Ireland on Friday, reaching gale force in the west. There will be periods of rain arriving here later in the day too. Temperatures rising to between 5 and 8C, mildest west.
 


Friday Night
Rain continues for western and northwestern parts of Scotland and Ireland overnight with some drizzle perhaps developing for western Wales and the northwest of England. A mostly cloudy night across the British Isles with strengthening winds. These reaching gale or severe gale force for western and northern areas. Overnight lows at 3 to 10C, coldest southeast.
 


Saturday
A windy day with low pressure to the north. A cold front will be passing south through Scotland and Ireland, reaching Wales and northern England, bringing cloud and heavy rain with it. Brighter in northwest Scotland with heavy showers. Windy in England, but dry and bright for most central and southern areas. Highs ranging from 8 to 11C.
 


Sunday
A cold front clears southeast England Sunday morning taking outbreaks of rain with it. Brighter and cooler conditions follow to the north and west. There will be showers, some of them heavy, especially on hills; wintry over the hills of Scotland. Highs at 4 to 7C for much of Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland and northern England, 7 to 11C for the rest of England and Wales.
