Monday
With high pressure over the country it's going to be a fairly quiet day. Quite a breezy day across Scotland. For Northern Ireland, western Scotland, Wales and the south west of England expect a good deal of low cloud and splashes of mainly light rain and drizzle. The best of the sunshine today looks to be across central and eastern parts of England and Scotland in the afternoon. Expect maximum temperatures of 7 to 8 Celsius across Scotland and 8 to 10 Celsius across England and Wales.

Monday Night
It will remain breezy into the evening and night across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Western parts of England and Scotland along with Wales holds onto lots of cloud through the evening and the night, still with some patchy rain and drizzle. Elsewhere it's a dry night with clear skies and with lighter winds, it will turn colder with a frost in the countryside and some mist patches. Expect minimum temperatures of 2 to 5 Celsius.

Tuesday
Very windy across northern Britain today with gales across northern Scotland and the Northern Isles. For western Scotland expect outbreaks of rain. A dry day is expected for the rest of Britain. Lots of sunshine around but it will become cloudy across northern and western England along with Wales in the afternoon. Scattered showers to affect western England and Wales overnight with rain across western Scotland. Most of Britain stays dry overnight and it's frost free. Expect highs of 7 to 9 Celsius.

Wednesday
A milder day to come but it becomes very windy with gales developing. Gusts to 55 mph are expected through the Irish Sea, across the high ground of Wales and the northern half of Britain. An area of rain across Scotland, Northern Ireland, western Wales and Cornwall in the morning turns heavy in the afternoon as it spreads into most areas. A very wet and windy evening with spells of moderate to heavy rain. Overnight this clears from Scotland and Northern Ireland as it turns colder bringing snow showers to northern Scotland. The strongest winds will be across England in the evening and night with gusts to 40-45 mph inland and up to 60 mph along the channel coast. Expect highs of 8 to 12 Celsius.
