Friday
Low pressure is to the northwest of Ireland on Friday. Fronts are going to be moving eastwards bringing areas of rain with them. The first of these fronts affects eastern England and eastern Scotland in the morning giving outbreaks of showery rain here. A further front moves across Ireland with rain here and heads into southwest Scotland, Wales and southwest England through the morning and then into the Midlands and southern England in the afternoon, giving further spells of rain. It may turn brighter across Ireland, Wales and southwest England through the afternoon although some showers moving in here too. Highs at 6 to 11C.

Friday night
One band of rain spreads slowly eastward over western and central parts of Great Britain overnight while another affects eastern parts of Scotland. Clearer skies for Ireland and Northern Ireland though showers affect western areas here. Increasingly breezy for Ireland and the southwest of the UK and for the Northern Isles. Overnight lows range from about 3 to 7C for most.

Saturday
Outbreaks of showery rain across much of England and Scotland on Saturday morning. Some of these will continue across parts of northern England and Scotland into the afternoon. Brighter and dry weather passing into Ireland, Wales and southwest England although there will be a few showers affecting coasts and hills here. These brighter spells should also arrive through central and southern England in the afternoon. Cloud thickens across southwest Ireland later in the afternoon with rain arriving here by evening. High temperatures at 6 to 9C.

Sunday
A wetter day for Sunday as a large area of low pressure is positioned to the west of Ireland. Fronts pass eastwards bringing rain across Ireland, Wales and southwest England by early morning, then spreading to all areas through the morning and into the afternoon. Staying wet in East Anglia and the southeast well into the evening with heavy showers following to many western parts of Wales, England and Scotland. The winds increasing too with a risk of gales in the west. Highs at 7C in the east, up to 12C in the west.
