Thursday starts with some bright or sunny spells across central, southern and eastern areas. Thicker cloud to the north and west brings rain into Scotland, Ireland and northwest England in the morning. This rain then spreads eastwards in the afternoon as the winds increase too. A damp afternoon to come in northern England, Wales and Ireland, although showers follow to the west. tending to stay dry in the far south of England and East Anglia until the evening. Highs at 12 to 20C.


Thursday Night
A breezy night with some showery bursts of rain across much of the UK and Ireland. The heaviest showers will be in western Scotland with some afecting northern England and Ireland too. More persistent rain may arrive in southwest England later. Lows near 9 to 12C.
 


Friday
Low pressure close to Scotland on Friday with a front trailing through southern England. This brings a wet day to southern England and the south of Wales, although things should improve later as the rain drifts away to the south. Elsewhere it will be a cool day with a mix of sunny periods and showers. The showers could be heavy and thundery at times in parts of northern England, Scotland and Ireland. A windy day for all with highs at 11 to 18C.


Saturday
Low pressure is east of the UK on Saturday. This brings another day of sunshine and showers. The showers could be heavy at times, tending to move through in bands rather than as a widespread area of showers. Sunny spells for most between the showers. Feeling cool in the wind with highs at 14 to 18C.
