Brighter west

Friday
The risk of some thundery rain this morning over eastern England this morning. Some sunny spells and remaining very warm here, but not as hot as yesterday. Broken cloud and mostly dry weather to the west with sunny spells, feeling fresher here too. This afternoon stays bright and dry for most, just a low risk of a shower over the hills of Wales and southwest England. Scattered showers too in eastern Ireland. Highs at 28C in eastern England, more widely 20 to 23C.


Friday Night
A dry start to the night overall. However, showers, some heavy will be affecting eastern coasts of England. During the night another area of rain will be developing through southeast England, the Midlands, northern England and much of southern and western Scotland. Drier in Wales and southwest England as well as much of Ireland. Lows near 10 to 13C in the west, 17C in the east.


Saturday
A complex area of low pressure extends through the UK and Ireland on Saturday. Fronts bringing rain through Scotland, except the far north where it will be warm and bright, northern and eastern England, some of this heavy and thundery. Misty and murky in the wetter areas too. Brighter in Ireland, Wales and much of western England with a few showers in the afternoon. Highs at 25C in southern England, 15C in the rain further north.


Sunday
Low pressure remains over the UK on Sunday. A front brings cloud and outbreaks of rain in southern Scotland and northern England as well as Northern Ireland. Brighter in the rest of England, Wales and Ireland, mostly dry although a few showers over the hills. Possibly drier and brighter in the far north of Scotland. Temperatures at 20 to 24C, although fresher over western coasts at 17 to 19C.
