Monday
A breezy day with plenty of cloud about. Best of any sunny spells will be in the southeast. Rain will affect Scotland, Northern Ireland and western Ireland in the morning, before spreading across the rest of Ireland, Wales, central and into southern parts of England by the end of the day while northern Scotland will become drier. Rain will be locally heavy, especially to the west. The far south and southeast corner should remain dry until evening. A much milder day with highs at 5 to 10C.


Monday Night
Rain will gradually clear Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern parts of England through the night allowing for it to turn colder with some wintry showers then peppering the far north and northeast through the early hours. Cloud and patchy rain across the rest of England and Wales with more persistent rainfall for parts of Ireland. A widespread frost is expected in the north by dawn with lows here between -4C to 0C. Further south lows range between 1 to 5C and across much of Ireland, south Wales and southwest England lows will only get down to 6 or 7C.


Tuesday
A largely dry but cold and frosty start for Scotland and the north of England with the risk of fog patches in places. Wintry showers also peppering northern coasts. Cloudier elsewhere while early patchy rain clears much of England and north Wales through the morning allowing for a dry rest of the day here. Rain, however, will push across Northern Ireland, Ireland and across much of Wales again while also spreading into to central southern and southwest England. The best of the sun to the east though coastal areas are at risk of a wintry shower or two. Highs at 2 to 6 for most, up to 10 or 11C in southwestern parts of the UK and Ireland.


Wednesday 13/01/21
A cold start in the north and east but as a band of rain pushes from west to east with the cloud building and temperatures should slowly recover. Precipitation will fall as snow across northern England and Scotland where the temperatures are colder. Rain will clear Northern Ireland, Wales, southwest England and southwest Scotland through the morning allowing for drier and brighter conditions to follow here. High temperatures at just 3 or 4C in Scotland and the east of England, 9 to 12C across Ireland, Wales, Northern Ireland and western England.
