Heavy showers
Brisk winds

Sunday
An unsettled day again with showers as well as longer spells of rain across western areas of the UK and Ireland, heavy bursts with hail and isolated thunder, plus snow over the hills. Tending to be drier further east with the best of the sunny spells. Showery rain over southern coasts further inland into central England later on. Squally southwesterly winds. Highs 6 to 9C.

Sunday night
Further clusters of showers affect west and southwestern coasts into the night, accompanied by brisk and gusty winds. A few showers extending inland from the west, but many central and eastern regions will stay dry overnight with broken cloud. Overnight temperatures dipping to 3 to 6C, locally cooler in sheltered rural areas, possible frost in Scotland.

Monday
Fresh westerly winds affect Britain and Ireland. Showers focused on western areas, some merging into longer spells of rain, often heavy over northern and western coasts, with hail, or snow over the hills. Tending to be drier further east with occasional sun. Feeling cool in the wind, highs 5 to 8C. A touch of frost into the night as skies clear.

Tuesday
