Heavy showers again
Rain into weekend

Friday
Patchy outbreaks of rain to start the day across the southeast corner of England. This should clear off to see sunny spells and showers. Across much of Scotland as well as northern and eastern England expect largely dry conditions but it will be rather cloudy. Southern England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland will see sunny spells and showers, some could be heavy and possibly thundery. Rain is expected by evening across southwest Ireland and the far southwest of England. Highs at 10C over eastern coasts of England and Scotland, 15C in the south and west.


Friday Night
Rain will track northeastwards becoming patchy and broken as it pushes across much of the country overnight and reach southern parts of Scotland by dawn. Clearer spells but also showers will develop behind. Remaining largely dry across the rest of Scotland although scattered showers look to affect the far north including the Northern Isles but also the Western Isles. Lows at 4 to 7C.


Saturday
Rain will continue to affect southern Scotland, northern and eastern England with cloudy skies here. Sunny spells and showers are forecast for southern England, Wales as well as Ireland and Northern Ireland, these showers likely to be heavy for some and possibly thundery. Drier across the rest of Scotland but it will be largely cloudy. Highs around 10 to 15C.
 


Sunday
Showers looking to affect much of the country on Sunday, some of these merging into longer spells of rain, as low pressure circulates over top of the British Isles. The showers are likely to be heavy and possibly thundery in places. Gusty winds too in the showers. The far north of Scotland, however, should stay largely dry with some sunny spells about. Highs at 11 to 15C.
