Heavy rain Sunday
Chilly starts

Sunday
A cloudy, grey and in some parts wet start to Sunday, particularly across eastern Scotland and western regions of England. Through the day the band of rain becomes confined to easternmost counties of England and across some central southern counties, perhaps turning heavy for a time across the southeast later. An improving day further west with plenty of dry and sunny conditions expected, though staying cloudy across much of England and the far east of Scotland perhaps with some light rain for some. Highs between 16 and 21C.

Sunday Night
Rain will continue to fall heavy into the evening across parts of east and southeast England, eventually turning light and patchy later in the night. Elsewhere, mainly dry with many places having clear spells, though cloudier across northwest Scotland, Northern Ireland and west Ireland with patchy rain pushing in here later. A chilly night under the clearer skies with lows here between 5 and 9C, staying up between 10 to 15C under the cloud.

Monday
Cloudy skies, mist and murk with patchy rain still about across the southeast to start the day on Monday. This eventually clearing off. A chilly yet bright start elsewhere, although cloud will gradually thicken in the far west as the day progresses. Dry for most as high pressure builds in, but patchy rain is expected across the Northern Isles. Breezy here too. Highs at 16 to 21C.

Tuesday
A ridge of high pressure on Tuesday will bring a largely settled day. After a cool start again temperatures should recover well for many thanks to plenty of sunny spells about. Staying mostly dry, however, cloud and some rain looks to reach northern and western Scotland as well as western regions of Ireland and Northern Ireland later. A noticable strengthening of the winds will also come about. Highs at 17 to 23C.
