Saturday
Low pressure crosses northern England on Saturday. It will be very windy to the south of the low with severe gales in England and Wales. Spells of heavy rain in Wales, Ireland and northern England and southern Scotland. The rain turns to snow over the hills of Ireland, northern England and southern Scotland as it clears east through the afternoon and evening. Probably drier and brighter in northern Scotland. High temperatures at 5C in northern Scotland, 12C in southeastern England.


Saturday Night
A band of rain will clear to the southeast across England overnight leaving clear skies for most of the country. Scotland, Wales and Ireland will be cloudier with some wintry showers persisting over western areas. Winds will ease slightly for most areas. Overnight lows falling to -3 to 3C.
 


Sunday
Low pressure remains to the east of the country on Sunday. A chilly north to northwest airflow affects all areas. There will be blustery showers, wintry on the hills of Wales, northern England and Scotland. The best of any sunshine is likely over Ireland and western parts of the UK through the afternoon. Winds continuing to ease through the day. High temperatures at 6 to 9C.
 


Monday
A ridge of higher pressure building on Monday. This brings dry and bright weather for all. Cloud increasing in western Ireland later bringing some drizzle here. A threat of a scattering of showers over Wales, southern Scotland and the West Country. High temperatures at 7 to 10C.
