Monday
High pressure builds in from the south on Monday. There may be some mist and fog patches on Monday morning particularly for western areas which will potentially lift to low cloud. Monday may therefore remain rather overcast for the west with lots of cloud throughout the day. It should be a dry and bright day for the east. A band of cloud, light rain and drizzle will move across the northern half of Ireland through the afternoon reaching western parts of Scotland, Wales and the north of England by the early evening. Highs at 4 or 5C in northern Scotland where it will be cold, 10 or 11C in southwestern parts of Ireland, England and Wales.

Monday Night
Light rain will continue to move eastward through the evening but it will ease and most eastern areas will stay dry. Cloud will break too and skies will remain clear over the southeast with varying amounts of cloud elsewhere. Winds will strengthen from the west overnight becoming strong for western fringes of Ireland by Tuesday morning. Low temperatures will fall to 3 to 9C.

Tuesday
High pressure slowly moves to the east while low pressure starts to move into the west. It will be a misty morning for eastern areas while thicker cloud will build from the west as a frontal system moves in. Rain and stronger winds will spread in from the west too covering much of Ireland by the early afternoon and reaching western portions of Scotland, Wales and England by the early evening. Highs at 6 to 10C.

Wednesday
A ridge of high pressure tries to build over southern areas on Wednesday however is is quickly moved over the near continent by another low pressure area. This will lead to early morning mist and fog patches particularly over western areas. Most areas will see a dry, bright day develop with good sunny spells before cloud starts to build once more from the west through the evening. Rain, accompanied by strong winds, reaching western parts of Ireland by the late afternoon. Highs at 6 to 10C.
